Description:
This position involves working in an operating room setting.
Candidates must have experience with preoperative care.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor experience is preferred.
Operating room technologist experience may be beneficial.
The unit includes 15 surgical suites, with 55-70 cases per day.
Participation in a weekend rotation is required.
Candidates should be prepared for 1-2 second calls each schedule month.
Weekend shifts will require 24-hour on-call coverage on Saturdays or Sundays.
Shifts will typically be from 6 AM to 2 PM, 7 AM to 3 PM, 8 AM to 4 PM, or 9 AM to 5 PM.
All surgical procedures, including same-day and overnight stays, are performed in this setting.
Experience in using electronic medical records is necessary, with a transition to a new system scheduled.
A 50-mile radius rule applies for this position.
