Operating Room Registered Nurse Job Summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) in Carbondale, Illinois, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures within a nationally acclaimed healthcare system.

The OR RN will be an integral part of the surgical team, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. This position requires strong clinical judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative communication to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' mental, physical, and spiritual needs throughout the perioperative continuum.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
