Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. A Compact RN license is accepted. Certifications in BLS and ACLS through AHA are required. Level 1 trauma experience is necessary, with at least 2 years in that setting. Experience in GYN, Spine, Hands, Neuro, Ortho, Oncological Breast, and Microvascular cases is essential. The operating room is open 24/7, with 11 rooms available. During the day, 10 rooms are typically active, with one room reserved for trauma. Expectations include rotating between days, nights, weekends, and holidays, according to department needs. The contracted schedule may require coverage of one weekend (up to two days) and one week of overnights per 4-week schedule. On-call staff must be ready to arrive within 30 minutes of receiving a call. Contracted staff will be accountable to policies, standard operating procedures, best practices, and code of conduct. Quality preceptorship and learner evaluation is an expectation for all clinicians.
