# Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Variable shift position including days/evenings with 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. Call required Monday-Friday 9:00 PM – 6:30 AM and Saturday/Sunday 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 6:30 AM. Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs. Approximately 3 weekend shifts per 13-week assignment.
Highlights:
- 18-bed Level 1 Trauma Operating Room performing 45-50 surgical procedures daily
- Diverse surgical specialties including General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
- Advanced technology including DaVinci Xi Surgical System and comprehensive robotic surgery programs
- Scrub experience required with focus on high-acuity trauma and transplant procedures
- EPIC charting system utilized throughout facility
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- DaVinci Xi Robot experience required (must demonstrate proficiency)
- Liver Transplant experience required (must demonstrate proficiency)
- Experience with either Neurological OR Orthopedic surgery required
- Scrubbing ability required
- Current BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
Preferred Experience:
- Ophthalmology (Eyes)
- ENT procedures
- Genitourinary (GU) procedures
- Plastic Surgery
- Burn procedures
Important Compliance Information:
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signature
- Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date
- Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to Ohio fingerprinting location; those at extreme distances will receive mailed fingerprinting packets
- Float to different units within the organization as needed
- Former employees eligible after 6+ months away from facility
- Artificial nails and enhanced nail lacquer prohibited; all jewelry/armbands must be removed from upper extremities prior to scrubbing
