Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub across a high-volume OR environment averaging 35-50 cases per day, with an expected turnover time of under 20 minutes
• Support a broad range of service lines including Cardiac/Peripheral Vascular, Neurology, Orthopedic Trauma, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Transplants, ENT, and Plastics
• Operate and assist with specialized equipment including Da Vinci robotic systems, Stealth neuro-navigation technology, and Synthes/Stryker orthopedic trauma instrumentation
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio across up to 16 OR suites in a Level I Trauma Center environment
• Participate in on-call coverage, including weekend call from end of shift Friday through 6:30 AM Monday
• Float across multiple campuses as needed; active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• BLS certification through AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross) required
• Minimum 24 months of current Operating Room experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized)
• Circulating experience in the Operating Room required
• Scrubbing experience in Orthopedics required
• Experience in General Surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC EMR experience within the previous 3 years required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 15 months; first-time travelers are not eligible
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the OR highly preferred
• Experience in Neurology, Orthopedics (trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular cases highly preferred
• Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
