Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity operating room environment, including Level I Trauma cases
  • Perform both scrub and circulator roles as needed throughout assigned shifts
  • Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and patient charting
  • May float to GI unit or an affiliated outpatient surgery center as operationally required
  • Participate in on-call scheduling, including up to 6 weekday on-call shifts and 2 weekend on-call shifts per 6-week schedule period, as well as 1 worked weekend and holiday coverage
  • Support liver and kidney surgical cases in accordance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications
  • Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license required at time of submission
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Trauma Certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Level I Trauma setting
  • Liver and kidney surgical experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard travel rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate differential
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in both scrub and circulate roles within the OR
  • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
  • Experience working in a high-volume, complex surgical environment
