Description:
The unit has 15 operating rooms and a hybrid room.
An average of 45 cases are performed daily.
The hospital does not perform transplants.
The patient ratio is 1:1 for registered nurses.
Certified Surgical Technologists are required.
Support within the department includes Charge Nurses, Staff RNs, and Surgical Technicians.
Unit technology includes Cerner EMR, Alaris IV Pump, and Omnicell.
Additional unit-specific equipment includes Cell saver, Belmont rapid infuser, glucometer, and Davinci robotics.
Scheduling requires weekend rotations based on needs.
There is an on-call requirement of one day a week.
Holiday work expectations are about 50%, which may increase based on need.
RTO must be approved in advance by the manager.
The schedule is organized in four-week increments.
Scrub colors are provided for staff.
