Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years in Operating Room License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Proficient with the Davinci xi robot. Familiar with the DV5 Davinci robot is a plus. Proficient in robotic general, gynecological, thoracic, and urology specialties. Level I Trauma experience is preferred; Level II is required. Description: Travelers will be expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays. If the contract falls over only 2 holidays, the traveler will be expected to work 1 of the 2 holidays. Special scheduling requests and blocked scheduling cannot be approved. Travelers will be expected to work as needed by the unit. Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. Candidates who pass the clinical review will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens will be conducted on a case-by-case basis. Call requirements include 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix, with a 30-minute response time. Maximum time off allowed is 7 days. Weekend shifts will consist of 3-4 shifts within a 6-week matrix. Weekend shifts can be days, evenings, or nights. Holidays will be worked as needed and may include day, evening, or night shifts. Travelers may float to other areas as necessary. Candidates must be able to function independently in all specialties listed including robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma. This facility may care for COVID patients. It is a tobacco and fragrance-free facility. Proficient skills include handling a variety of surgical procedures and the operation of specialized equipment. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census averages between 50-60 patients. The unit includes multiple types of support services, such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers should be prepared for a diverse and dynamic work environment. Compliance with all facility policies and procedures is mandatory.
