**Job Description:**
- **Location:** Danville Regional Medical Center – Sovah Health, 142 S. Main Street, Danville, VA 24541
- **Facility Overview:**
- 250-bed Academic Community Hospital with over 120 years of service.
- Region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
- Comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency department, home health & hospice agency, advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, 2 cath labs, day surgery center, and oncology services.
- **Orientation Dates:**
- May 26, June 9 and 23, July 7 and 21, August 4 and 18, September 1, 15 and 29, October 13 and 27, November 10, December 8.
- **Shift Details:**
- Rotating shifts: Two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
- Weekend hours: Every other / as needed.
- Call requirements: Call rotations primarily involving weekends; unlikely overnight call during the week.
- **Position Information:**
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR).
- Number of Openings: 1.
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH.
- Years of Experience: 1-2 years preferred.
- Float Requirements: May be asked to float within scope of practice.
- **Unit Information:**
- Patient Ratios: 1:1.
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech.
- Supervisor: Scott Collie.
- Patient Population: All ages.
- **Hiring Profile:**
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Orthopedic experience.
- Common Diagnosis/Treatment: 2+ years of specialty experience.
- Personality Fit: Motivated, proactive, easy-going, and professional.
- Required Education: Certification / Licensed in Virginia.
- **Dress Code:**
- Scrub Color: Navy blue (provided by the hospital).
