Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Machias, Maine. This role is integral to delivering safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care throughout the perioperative period.

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the surgical team, primarily focusing on scrubbing, circulating, and providing post-anesthesia care as needed. This position requires strong clinical acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care during the perioperative period.
  • Perform duties as a scrub nurse, assisting surgeons directly during surgical procedures.
  • Function as a circulating nurse, managing the operating room environment and patient needs.
  • Provide care for patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as required.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the perioperative team.
  • Maintain a high degree of patient confidentiality and uphold organizational values.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Ability to perform scrub, circulate, and PACU duties.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
