Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiology Clinic

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Heart and Vascular Clinic in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized care within an outpatient cardiology setting, focusing on comprehensive patient management and support for individuals with various cardiac conditions.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the clinic, performing patient triage, coordinating care across various cardiology services, and assisting with diagnostic procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to patient education, ensuring individuals are well-informed about their cardiac conditions, medications, and treatment plans.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday day shift assignment, offering an excellent work-life balance with no call or weekend requirements, allowing for ample time to enjoy the scenic Colorado surroundings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage and assess patient concerns, prioritizing care based on clinical need.
  • Provide comprehensive care coordination for patients across various cardiology services and specialties.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with specialized diagnostic procedures, including Exercise Stress Tests and Tilt Table Tests.
  • Perform Electrocardiograms (EKGs) and manage various heart monitoring equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Initiate intravenous (IV) access for diagnostic testing and medication administration as required.
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions, prescribed medications, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans.
  • Occasionally assist with patient rooming, vital sign collection, and preparation for provider consultations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent, dedicated experience in a Cardiology-specific Clinic or Ambulatory Care setting.
  • Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
