Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data related to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the care plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients and their situations.
