Key Responsibilities
Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
Work four 10-hour shifts per week, 0700-1730
Fulfill on-call obligations including either one short call (1930-2300) or one long call (2300-0700) per week
Participate in one to two 24-hour weekend call shifts (Saturday or Sunday, 0700-0700) per six-week scheduling grid on a fair and rotating basis
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care throughout operative procedures
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Rhode Island or compact state eligibility
Current BLS certification required
Operating Room clinical experience required
Ability to fulfill on-call requirements as outlined in the scheduling grid
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a fast-paced surgical or acute care environment
Familiarity with scrub and circulating roles in the OR
Flexibility with scheduling and limited time-off requests during the contract period
