Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a high-volume surgical department in Globe, Arizona. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, providing comprehensive perioperative care to a diverse patient population undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting approximately 120 cases per month, encompassing specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, Total Joint Replacements, Podiatry, OBGYN (including C-sections), Endoscopy, Neurosurgery, Robotics, ENT, and Cataract procedures. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgical teams with various procedures across multiple specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Neurosurgery, and Robotics.
- Monitor patient's physiological status during surgery and respond to changes appropriately.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment, including Hana Tables, Stryker, Arthrex, and Medacta systems.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency across a broad range of surgical specialties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Neurosurgery cases.
Skills & Competencies
- Clinical Skills: Aseptic technique, surgical scrubbing/circulating, patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, emergency response.
- Equipment Proficiency: Hana Tables, Stryker systems, Arthrex equipment, Medacta systems.

Shift Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: August 19, 2026
- Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour AM shifts.
- Typical Daily Hours (Unit Operation): Monday - Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:30 PM.
- Call Requirements: Approximately 7-10 days of call per month.
- Call Shift: 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM when on call.
- Weekend Call: Call rotation includes weekends.
Licensing Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona or compact state eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Not specified.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Not specified.
