Staffing includes one team of RN, surgical assistant, and surgical technologist per operating room during day shifts, with tapering during evenings. Call shifts are scheduled on weekends and nights. Day shift staffing includes 16 RNs, 16 surgical assistants, and 16 surgical technologists. Evening shifts taper to 4 teams from 3-5 PM, 2 teams from 5-7 PM, and 1 team from 7-11 PM. Call begins for additional 2 teams at 3 PM. Night shift consists of call only. Patient ratios are 1:1. The unit is equipped to handle robotic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, plastics, urology, orthopedic surgery, and more. Electronic medical records are managed using specific software. Skill Set Most Recruited For: Candidates must have experience in robotic surgery and orthopedic surgery. Neuro/spine experience is preferred. The unit performs most types of procedures except for transplant and cardiac surgery. Best Personality Fit: A team player is always the best fit for the unit. Floating Areas: No floating required.
