Description:
The role involves working in a busy operating room environment.
The unit consists of 41 operating rooms in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Travelers should be comfortable floating between operating rooms as needed.
This position includes a ratio of 1:1 for patient care.
Weekend coverage is required based on unit needs.
On-call shifts may be necessary, approximately three shifts per eight-week schedule.
Candidates should have experience with various surgical procedures, including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics.
The ability to circulate in emergent procedures, such as craniotomies, is essential.
Flexibility in scheduling may be required.
Only candidates with a proven track record in high-acuity settings will be considered.
Completion of all facility-specific modules is necessary within the first week of assignment.
Candidates must be prepared to adapt to a dynamic working environment.
It is important to have strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary support.
