Job Title: OR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience with Ortho Mako, Gyn, Sports Medicine, and Ortho Total Joints - Ability to float between units as needed - Call requirements on weekday nights, weekends, and holidays Description: This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. The candidate will float between various units as necessary. On-call duties will be required during weekday nights, weekends, and holidays. The expected patient ratio in the OR is 1:1. Candidates must have experience with the Epic charting system. Charges experience is preferred but not mandatory. Key skills include abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, administration of blood products, and various orthopedic procedures. The candidate should be familiar with fire safety, infection control protocols, and universal protocols for patient safety. Successful applicants will possess the ability to handle equipment and procedures such as laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures and total joint replacements.
