Must-Have:
Experience circulating the following case types:
- General: gallbladders, appendectomies, colectomies, hernia repairs (laparoscopic and open)
- Orthopedic: total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine
- Podiatry: toe amputation, bunionectomies, hammer toes
- GYN: hysterectomies (mostly laparoscopic), tubals, hysteroscopies, DNCs
- OB: C-sections (OR RNs will circulate)
- Endoscopic: colonoscopies, EGDs, bronchs
- Urology: TURPs, cystos, lithotripsies, circumcisions
Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room.
The role requires experience circulating various case types.
Candidates must be comfortable learning pre-op and PACU duties.
RNs will circulate cases and recover patients after surgery.
Monitoring patients on cardiac monitors and interpreting cardiac rhythms is essential.
The average number of cases performed daily is approximately 8-10.
No robotics, high-level traumas, or neurosurgeries will be performed.
4-8 call shifts are required per month, with one weekend call per month.
For major holidays, staff may be on call as needed.
The department is closed on Fridays, with the call team covering only.
Surgical scrubs will be provided.
