Candidate should have circulating experience. Scrubbing experience preferred. Description: This is a weekend position requiring work every Saturday and Sunday, plus one rotating weekday. The role requires the nurse to work in a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery. Candidates should be well-rounded and current in most surgical areas except cardiovascular and transplant, as they will be floated where needed. Call is required with an expectation of 6 call shifts over a 6-week period, which may vary. All candidates must confirm that they are comfortable with the required schedule, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must have experience in a fast-paced surgical environment with a daily average census of 70-80 patients. The facility has 21 operating rooms and utilizes a Cerner charting system. Floating to different units within the hospital is essential to meet patient care needs. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period. Local candidates are accepted, but must comply with specific requirements. All candidates must have their required certifications in hand prior to starting.
