Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative nursing care across 3 OR suites and 1 procedure room, supporting a high-volume caseload ranging from 6-22 cases per day
  • Support a robust total joint program including hips, knees, shoulders, and robotic-assisted procedures, as well as sports medicine, general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, plastics, and ophthalmology cases
  • Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio per room, typically working alongside 2 OR Techs per room
  • Participate in an on-call rotation of approximately 3-4 call shifts per month with a 30-minute response time (dressed and ready to work); call shifts are 7a-7p Mon-Fri and 24 hours on weekends
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care coordination
  • Adhere to unit-specific protocols; floating is not expected for travelers but may be offered within scope on an optional basis
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with Operating Room experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination: 2-dose Moderna or Pfizer, or 1-dose J&J); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted promptly for review and approval
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers with strong, comparable OR experience will be considered
  • Experience with EPIC EMR
  • Familiarity with high-volume, multi-specialty OR environments including orthopedics, general surgery, and OB/GYN
  • Demonstrated reliability and strong attendance record
