The role focuses on abdominal transplants including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral. Pediatric transplants are performed in a separate facility. The candidate will float to assist in various specialties and all surgeries. Call is required, amounting to 40-60 hours per 6-week period. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Local travelers with permanent residency will be accepted. Temporary licenses may be obtained while permanent applications are submitted. Additional requirements include the ability to float within the hospital and to nearby facilities. Experience with transplant procedures and regulatory charting is essential. Preferred qualifications include pediatric experience, but it is not mandatory. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment.
