The unit features 14 ORs, including specialized rooms for hybrid cardiovascular procedures and cystoscopy. The hospital has a total of 408 beds and a staff of 60 FTEs in the Operating Room. Staffing includes 14-16 RNs and 14-16 CSTs on the day shift. The patient ratio is 1:1 during procedures. Candidates must have circulating and scrubbing experience, preferably with Meditech. Typical procedures include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine surgeries. No transplant procedures are performed in this unit. A strong priority is placed on patient experience and communication with staff and providers. Adaptability to change is essential in this environment.
