Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours, weekends as scheduled Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Experience in all areas of the Operating Room. Ability to cross-train to Endoscopy. Experience with various surgical procedures excluding open heart surgeries. Familiarity with Baxter pumps and Robots (Phillips and Dynomap). Experience with the DaVinci Robot is a plus. ACLS certification is required due to modern sedation practices. Description: The facility has a total of 11 rooms, 8 of which are Operating Room suites and 3 are Endoscopy suites. They handle approximately 25 cases per day out of the 65 seen. Call responsibilities include one weeknight call every 4 weeks from 7 PM to 7 AM. Additionally, there is one weekend shift call on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, up to 24 hours per 3-month contract. This is a Level 2 trauma care setting. Charting is done using the EPIC system.
