This position involves elective and emergency surgeries for adult and pediatric patients. Experience with a variety of service-specific specialties is required. The role may require working one weekend shift per month, any shift. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room. Responsibilities include assisting in procedures such as lobe resection, lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, and more. Nurses should possess knowledge of infection control and safety protocols. The ability to handle specimens and manage wound care is essential. Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in using the Epic charting system. Candidates will be subject to background policy review on a case-by-case basis.
