Description:
The position requires a registered nurse specialized in the operating room.
The nurse will be responsible for providing quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
The role involves collaboration with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
Nurses must be comfortable floating between units as needed.
Call is required 4-5 shifts per 6 weeks, which includes weekends.
The unit typically cares for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
The daily census averages around 30 patients with 13 operating rooms available.
Interdisciplinary support services are available, including interpretation, radiology, and pharmacy.
Candidates must be prepared for a variety of surgical procedures and patient diagnoses.
All candidates should have strong skills in various surgical techniques and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
