Key Responsibilities
Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a high-volume operating room environment
Assist with and support robotic-assisted surgical procedures utilizing DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa platforms
Scrub and/or circulate for a range of surgical cases including vascular (TCAR, TAVR, bypass, Endarterectomy, Embolectomy, AV fistula) and general surgery
Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
Maintain a 1:1 patient care ratio in a 14-bed OR suite
May be expected to work 1-2 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
Required Qualifications
Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
Minimum of 24 months of current Operating Room experience
Proficient experience with DaVinci robotics
Proficient experience in vascular cases (TCAR, TAVR, bypass, Endarterectomy, Embolectomy, AV fistula)
Proficient experience in general surgery
EPIC EMR experience required
Travel nursing experience within the previous 15 months required
AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
AHA or ARC ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Spine surgery experience
Scrub experience in the OR setting
Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
