Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Function in both a circulating and scrubbing capacity as a key member of the surgical team
  • Provide specialized nursing care across multiple service lines including general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain, and endoscopy procedures
  • Deliver care to patients ages 16 and older, including adult and geriatric populations, in a primarily outpatient OR setting with two operating rooms and a procedure room
  • Support Phase I/PACU care as needed
  • Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
  • Adhere to call-off communication protocols, notifying the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance of any absence
Required Qualifications
  • Cataract experience required - non-negotiable
  • Minimum 2-5 years of OR nursing experience required
  • Both scrubbing and circulating experience required
  • Phase I/PACU experience required
  • Multiple surgical specialty experience required
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Experience working in a smaller OR facility required
  • Active Vermont RN license required
  • BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
  • Personal vehicle required - this is a small community without public transportation
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; scheduling requests will not be approved after offer

Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Travel nursing experience highly preferred
  • BSN preferred
