Operating Room RN - Level 1 Trauma Center Shift Details
- 3x12-hour shifts
- Day/Evening/Night rotating schedule
- On-call/callback, floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs
Position Overview
- The OR cares for a wide variety of patients
- Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
- Level 1 Trauma Center designation
- 2 Da Vinci robots utilized across multiple services
- Active transplant program including livers, kidneys, and hearts
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (New York State license ONLY)
- Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience
- Telemetry experience
- ACLS certification (Preferred)
Preferred Surgical Experience
- Specialty cases including transplants, plastics, and reconstructive procedures
- Craniotomy
- Strong orthopedic background
