Must-Have:
- Experience with General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Thoracic, Robotics (Da Vinci), and Trauma cases.
- Ability to work weekends as required.
- Flexibility to be on-call one day a week and one weekend every four weeks.
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.
The unit consists of 15 operating rooms and a hybrid room.
The average case load is 45 cases per day between the Operating Room and Cardiovascular Operating Room.
Various patient types and common diagnoses will be encountered, excluding transplants.
Strong support within the department from charge nurses, staff RNs, and surgical technologists is available.
The equipment used includes EMR systems, IV pumps, medication dispensing units, and unit-specific equipment such as cell savers and Belmont rapid infusers.
Orientation will include paired time with a preceptor and unit-specific training.
The schedule follows a four-week cycle, with shifts starting at various times including morning, mid-shift, and night.
Approximately 50% holiday coverage is expected based on the needs of the unit.
