Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year; first timers accepted License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Circulate and scrub experience required Description: Minimum experience required is one year. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The main operating room handles general, neuro, spine, ortho, robotics, urology, vascular, and colorectal surgeries. The facility has 16 rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients. The electronic systems used in the unit include Epic and Pyxis. There are two Da Vinci XI robots available for use. Scrub color will be provided by the facility. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of seven days. Blackout dates for requested time off include spring break from April 4th-12th. Weekend work is required, with two to three weekends per eight-week schedule, either in-house or on call. Call requirements include an average of seven to eight calls in an eight-week schedule, which will include one weekend call and one or two weekend shifts. Call shifts are either overnight or daytime. Travelers may be expected to work on holidays, with specific requirements depending on the number of holidays that fall within their assignment period. Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant, there may be a delay in start date. Candidates will be reviewed by the clinical team to determine clinical fit before final decisions are made. Compliance documents must be completed in a timely manner. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission; no requests can be made post-offer or during orientation.
