Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 10-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 10:45 AM - 9:15 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Reliable and flexible travelers Proficient in a variety of services Good attendance and punctuality Basic competency in multiple specialties Description: The role involves working in a full-service operating room. The facility handles a wide range of cases, excluding major pediatrics and transplants. It operates as a Level 2 trauma center, managing some orthopedic, neurological trauma, robotics procedures, and more. RNs are encouraged, though not required, to scrub in. There is a call requirement, with rotation among staff. Response time for calls is expected to be within 30 minutes. Surgeons are on call 24/7 for their cases. Vents mainly recover in the ICU. The pharmacy and respiratory team are available 24/7. There is no floating between units. One week of floor-specific orientation is provided.
