Exciting Opportunity for an Operating Room/Surgery RN!
Job Description:
- Be a pivotal part of our dynamic healthcare team!
- Utilize your nursing expertise in a fast-paced Operating Room environment.
- Practice independently while managing complex clinical situations.
- Deliver both routine and advanced nursing care to patients with diverse needs.
- Develop long-range goals and plans to enhance patient outcomes.
- Make impactful decisions, assign tasks, and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Meet and exceed the OneCHRISTUS Competencies expectations: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision; monitor for side effects and efficacy.
- Document all patient interactions meticulously, including histories, symptoms, medications, and care delivered.
- Assess learning needs and offer education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Registered Nurse License in Texas or compact state
