Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN Core 2)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a circulating RN in the operating room; circulating experience is required
• Float within scope to support facility needs across multiple OR service lines including General, Plastics, GYN, ENT, Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, GU, Colorectal, and Robotics
• Participate in on-call rotation, expected at approximately 40–60 hours per 6-week cycle (subject to variation)
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient OR operations
• Adhere to all facility compliance, floating, and scheduling requirements including working 2 out of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana, a compact state, or a temporary Indiana license valid at time of start
• Minimum of 3 years of OR RN experience; candidates with at least 1 year of Level I Trauma experience may be considered with a minimum of 2 years total experience
• Level I Trauma experience is required
• BLS certification required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
• Indiana residents are accepted for this position and will be offered the applicable in-state rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the OR is preferred
• Well-rounded OR background across multiple surgical specialties (CV and Transplant experience not required)
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
