Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Operating Room setting
  • Collect and assess health data on an ongoing basis to evaluate patient health status
  • Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching
  • Execute delegated medical functions, review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, and may be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN minimum)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for unit or service
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Specialty certification appropriate for unit or service
