Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join an Outpatient Department within an ambulatory care clinic in Juneau, Alaska. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the clinic, working collaboratively with providers and medical staff.
The clinic serves a diverse patient population in a primary care setting, focusing on comprehensive health services. This position requires a professional who can manage daily clinical flow, maintain operational standards, and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical services, ensuring excellent quality of care and efficient resource utilization in compliance with established standards.
- Offer leadership and guidance to clinic staff, supporting efficient operations across patient care and front desk functions.
- Manage medication inventory and maintain adequate supplies for clinic operations.
- Perform necessary quality control checks for Point of Care testing.
- Accurately and timely document all patient care and services provided.
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures for provider clinics.
- Assist providers and other staff proactively to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to serve as a valuable resource for patients, providers, and colleagues.
- Maintain professional skill sets, annual competencies, and certifications through continuous education and training.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment, reporting any defects or safety hazards promptly.
- Escalate unresolved patient, coworker, or visitor issues to department management for resolution.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of primary care experience, with experience within the last two (2) years.
- Proof of current Flu Vaccine.

Licensing Requirements
- Current, full, and unrestricted Registered Nursing (RN) license in Alaska, active at the time of submittal.
