Description:
Operating Room unit with 13 ORs.
The unit is staffed by 25 RNs and 29 CSTs.
The unit operates Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 17:00 and weekends as needed.
The team typically sees an average of 50 hours of surgical time per week.
Weekends have a heavier patient load on Saturdays.
Experience with high acuity patients is essential.
Typical procedures include wound debridement, skin grafting, dental restoration, ENT surgeries, gastroenterology procedures, gynecology procedures, neuro surgeries, open heart surgeries, ophthalmology procedures, orthopedic trauma surgeries, plastics, psychiatry, and robotic surgeries.
Staff members must be open, outgoing, and team players with excellent critical thinking skills.
All staff members are expected to rotate weekend call every four weeks.
Call shifts can vary from 2 to 12 hours, and no staff member is expected to work more than 60 hours per week including call.
Staff is required to take two weekend shifts per month.
