Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Advanced skills are needed. BLS for Scrub Techs/First Assist required. Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. One or more years of experience acceptable. Unit specifics include 6 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy suite. Patient ratios are 1 patient to the operating room team. Type of equipment includes DaVinci Xi Robot and orthopedic beds. Documentation system is Meditech. Scrubbing and first assisting procedures performed on the unit include Urology, ENT, Ortho, General, Endo, Pediatric General, Bariatric, and Pediatric Dental. Floating to other surgical services areas may be required. On-call schedule varies. Dress code includes operating room scrubs, which are provided. The unit has certifications in Orthopedic and Bariatric care. The DaVinci Xi Robot is utilized in procedures. Staff experience ranges from new hires to over 40 years. The facility is a 190-bed acute care hospital providing community healthcare services. It maintains a high level of involvement in health education through health fairs and no-cost screenings. The facility has received several nationally recognized accreditations and awards.
