Job Summary
This role is for an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse dedicated to providing safe, effective, and patient-family centered care within a dynamic perioperative services environment in Lawton, Oklahoma. The successful candidate will serve as a patient advocate, ensuring adherence to surgical standards of nursing practice for diverse patient populations.
The OR RN is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice. This position requires a commitment to teamwork, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services.
- Act as a patient advocate, upholding surgical standards of nursing practice.
- Develop and implement total nursing care for patients through comprehensive assessment, nursing diagnosis, and care plan development.
- Perform thorough head-to-toe and ongoing patient assessments, including adequate assessment and reassessment of pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team (RNs, LPNs, NAs, Physicians, and ancillary disciplines) in the assessment and care of patients and their families.
- Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- Participate in and implement age-specific care and interactions for all patient populations, including pediatric, geriatric, and adult.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
