Unit Information:
Number of Beds - 17 Operating Rooms; 1 Bed ER.
Not trauma designated.
Number of Staff:
70 Staff Members.
Type of Staff:
Day Shift - One scrub and one circulator per room.
Support techs available to assist with positioning and other duties.
Most surgeons have a PA/CST/NP to assist during surgery.
Patient Ratios:
Type of equipment - Orthopedic EMR Meditech.
Typical Hiring Profile:
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters.
Preferred or nice to have:
Candidates with experience in total joints and spine procedures will be considered first.
Typical Procedures:
All orthopedic large joints, hand, feet, scopes, and spine - no neurosurgery.
Dress Code:
Scrub Color - Ciel Blue (sky blue).
Scrubs are not provided.
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
Report to work at 6:45 am for huddle on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Shift ends at 5:15 pm; there is no second shift relief.
On Call:
Approximately 4 shifts per month, Monday - Friday only (no weekend call).
Most call worked is stay over to finish cases.
