Requirements:
- Active RN License in Texas or Compact state licensure
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Demonstrated competency in medication administration, treatment protocols, and patient documentation
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
- Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care interventions accurately
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to care team members effectively
- Assess learning needs and deliver education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Manage complex clinical situations with focus on long-range care goals
