TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Shreveport, Louisiana, 71103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of specific Operating Room experience required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: Must have BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Must-Have: Robotics experience is required. Description: Responsibilities include circulating and possibly scrubbing if experience allows, though scrubbing is not mandatory. Patient types include robotic, bariatric, neuro-spine, neuro vascular, urology, and transplant cases. Experience with robotic surgeries, including laminectomy, fusion, discectomy, craniotomies, and aneurysm clipping is required. General surgeries performed include laparoscopic cholecystectomy, nephrectomy, and Whipple procedures. Bariatric surgeries include Roux-en-Y and gastric sleeve. Urology procedures include cystoscopy, TURP, bladder tumor resection, and stone removal. Transplant experience is preferred for kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants. Experience in cardio/thoracic procedures is strongly preferred. All travelers must pass an EKG competency exam as part of compliance. Flexible scheduling is mandatory, with possible Saturday work required. Call is required one day per week and one weekend per month. Holiday rotation for call coverage is required, with work expected on two or three major holidays. Unit culture is team-oriented, with support provided by a scrub tech and nursing supervisor as needed. Scrub color is pewter gray, and travelers should wear their own scrubs.
