Current staffing includes 5 full-time RNs, including a manager and board runner. 2 part-time RNs (one currently on leave) are on staff. 3 PRN RNs are also available, with 4 open requisitions for full-time nurses. The unit consists of 12 surgical techs. The typical patient ratio is 1:1. Basic OR equipment is used, including cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equipment, and positioning equipment. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Candidates should be flexible, caring, and compassionate, with a positive attitude. Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, and thoracic procedures is preferred. Weekends and on-call shifts will require rotation, including one night a week minimum and one weekend per five-week schedule minimum.
