Travel Registered Nurse - Med-Surg/Neurology
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our team in Janesville, Wisconsin. This role primarily supports Med-Surg Orthopedic and Neurology patient populations, providing comprehensive nursing care within a dynamic hospital environment.
The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. This position requires flexibility, including the potential to float to other units as needed to support patient care demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, hospital policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice acts.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family education, as prescribed by physicians and/or hospital policy.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly, adhering to established standards of care.
- Participate actively in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance initiatives.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
- Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float to other units as required by patient census and staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Education verification is required.
- Demonstrated experience in Med-Surg, Orthopedic, or Neurology specialties.

Shift Details
- Shift Type: Nights (NOC)
- Hours: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Days per Week: 3
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required.
- Holiday Rotation: Required.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 2026-07-16
Licensing Requirements
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
