Key Responsibilities
Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
Assist surgical team members in the operating room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
Perform patient assessments, document care accurately, and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
Respond to on-call duties as required per department scheduling needs
Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and surgical safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Louisiana or compact state eligibility
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
Current BLS certification required
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical setting
Familiarity with scrub and circulator roles within the OR
Strong ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced travel assignment environment
