Job Title: OR RN Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in an acute hospital setting License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 2 years current experience in an acute hospital setting - Strong ortho, neuro, and robotics experience - Willingness to float to general OR Description: This position is for an OR RN. The unit features 16 rooms with a total of 53 staff, including directors, charge RNs, OR RNs, surgeons, anesthesiologists, CNAs, and LPNs. Patient ratios are 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1. The equipment utilized includes sterile accessories, circulators, sponges, and various surgical tools. The documentation system in use is Meditech. The RN will be responsible for preparing the operating room and arranging equipment. Assistance to doctors during surgeries will also be required. The RN will inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment while keeping accurate inventory records. Pre and post-surgical tasks will include shaving, transporting, and applying dressings. Experience with Robotics/Da Vinci systems is essential for this role. This facility has a comprehensive stroke center and various advanced medical certifications. The environment is fast-paced, and the RN must be adaptable and able to function independently.
