Description: This position involves working in a surgical services unit. The unit consists of 12 operating rooms and has a dedicated staff. Day shift includes 2 RN circulators and 2 Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs). Night shift includes 1 RN. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1 in the operating room. The main equipment used includes an electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, urology, robotics, and gynecological procedures. Ideal candidates should possess a teamwork mentality. This unit follows established policies and guidelines. The environment provides opportunities to work with new equipment and technology. Staff tenure and experience enhance the learning and work experience on this unit. Scheduled work includes every other weekend and holidays in rotation with staff.
