Description:
The position requires an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The facility is a licensed 457-bed organization with multiple designations of excellence.
The OR department consists of 19 surgical suites, handling an average of 50 cases per day.
The nurse will be expected to circulate for various surgical specialties including trauma, orthopedic trauma, total joints, spine, vascular, gynecology, oncology, robotics, general surgery, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain management, and plastics.
Experience in circling cases such as laparoscopic and open procedures is advantageous.
The candidate should be flexible, self-driven, and a motivated team player.
Ability to accommodate case requests during shifts is essential.
Call coverage will be required, with an average of 6 call shifts in a 6-week schedule.
Travelers are also expected to work a significant number of holidays.
The department culture emphasizes teamwork and collaboration among all staff members.
Unit specific equipment encompasses a wide range of typical OR tools.
Experience in robotic surgery is a plus, though not mandatory.
