Description

Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: October 1, 2026

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, day schedule (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM), with on-call coverage. Every other weekend call required. Call commitment includes 1 day per week plus 1-2 weekends per 4-5 week schedule period. 30-minute response time when on call.

Requirements:
  • Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of in-specialty Operating Room experience required
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
  • MUST have cardiovascular surgery experience – this is non-negotiable
  • Both circulating and scrubbing experience required
  • Proficiency in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting techniques
  • Demonstrated competency across multiple surgical specialties including: vascular procedures (AV fistulas/grafts, aortic surgeries, bypasses, carotids, embolectomies), orthopedic procedures (arthroscopies, total joints), general surgery (colorectal resections, laparoscopic procedures, Whipples, liver resections, thyroidectomies, mastectomies), ENT procedures (tracheostomies, laryngectomies, radical neck dissections), urology procedures (cystectomies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies), robotic procedures (gynecologic, colorectal, hernias), and gynecologic procedures (hysterectomies, repairs)
  • Permanent address must be at least 100 miles from the facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
  • Two professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption documented
  • Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date before applying
