Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data
  • Perform all circulating duties with efficiency, including prepping the operating room and positioning and preparing the patient on the operating table
  • Complete verification of the Safe Surgery checklist in accordance with service excellence standards
  • Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team member activities while executing directives and interventions in urgent or emergent situations
  • Serve as the communication liaison between family members and the operating team
  • Participate in assigned call as scheduled and assist in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or compact state eligibility
  • Operating Room clinical experience
  • Ability to assume duties within or outside of the sterile field as assigned
  • Proficiency with computer programs utilized in patient care delivery
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with circulating duties in a surgical environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth through continuing education and goal setting
