Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences
• Provide specialized care for patients undergoing general surgery, ENT procedures, and medical overflow on a fast-paced 39-bed unit with all-private rooms
• Deliver culturally based and age-specific care in partnership with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
• Communicate effectively with peers, utilize appropriate channels of communication, and maintain absolute confidentiality
• Adhere to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and the scope of practice outlined in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act

Required Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing or higher
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated ability to provide age-specific and culturally competent patient care and education
• Ability to accept and implement change and work effectively in a culturally diverse setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing or a general surgery setting
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional growth and competence
